The only possible hope is the fact that the VZW is gearing up for &quot;open plans&quot; that will allow you to bring phones from outside Verizon and use them on your network. They are, reportedly, going to be the first American carrier to accomplish this (although this is the norm in European and Asian markets.)
Even so, it would require Apple providing a CDMA version of the iPhone. And, I think that might be a stretch.
And the cherry on top is digital music sales. The iPhone was almost home to Verizon with its initial release, but VZW wanted a share of the sales for iTunes purchase made Over-The-Air. Apple said no and VZW declined Apple&#039;s offer to carry the iPhone.
I&#039;m not saying its not possible. Apple and VZW are big enough they pretty much do what they want.
