In terms of spiritual growth and maturity, many would say that the goal is to grow deeper…to have depth…etc. A challenge with the concept of the depth is, how do you find deep?
As I posted earlier in the year, one of my leadership/church ministry pet peeves is when people say, "I just wanted to be fed?" Perry Noble, pastor of NewSpring Church (where I was this past weekend at their All Access conference), had similar but much more eloquent thoughts about the whole depth issue.
A better way to look at this issue is something that I have learned and taught and that is spiritual maturity is gauged by application.
