About

Hello, my name is Jason Stewart. Stewonline.com is a place to force me to think clearly and record the learnings and influences on my life. For you, I hope it is place to help you in your journey of life and leadership; hoping to engage you in conversation around these topics.

I gravitate to new, change, innovation, forward-thinking, leadership and breaking the mold. I am inspired by clarity, strategy, intention and modern. I love ideas. I love ideas molded into strategy that creates change. The posts on stewonline.com will be pressed by these things along with technology, culture, social media, vision and mission.

I love to share what I am discovering that benefits my life and adds value to others. I have knack a for discovering resources and processes. I find joy it passing those along to you.

My mind doesn’t stop when it comes it strategy, communicating and experimenting. My creativity is just reshaping the incredible ideas of others and making them fit for my life, my projects or my organizations.

Although, I have a tendency to be a binge blogger, I typically post two to three times a week when life is not pressing in. To make sure you don’t miss a post, you can subscribe by email or RSS Feed. I am consistently sharing, thinking and connecting through Twitter, which makes me look like I am on Facebook constantly. So, we can connect there, too.

My Biography

Being a child of the 70s and the “Jennifer and Jason” generation, I am one of 100os upon 1000s of boys named ‘Jason’. So, nick-names over my life have been crucial for survival. So, as you can tell by the address to this Web site, I most often go by “Stew”.

I currently serve on the Senior Leadership Team for LifePoint Church as Executive Pastor of Worship Programming and Communications. LifePoint is a dynamic, missional church that currently has campuses in Smyrna, TN; Seattle, WA; Bangkok, Thailand; and Brussels, Belgium. (Yep, those last two places aren’t around here.) I have lived my life in the South while being stretched by the world through our global initiatives. I have the privilege of leading our worship, production, communications and first impressions teams. We are creating innovative strategies for missional church strategies, global church missions, orphan care, GroupLife Next Gen ministries and more. Some of our current projects include LifePoint Music, GroupLeader.org and The Sending Church.

Simply, I shape the message and methods of our organization. I stand in the tension of strategy and creativity, trying to leverage both for God’s glory and the life-change He creates in everyday life. Most importantly, I team with group of people who are visionary, compassionate, fun, and home-run hitters.

Prior to LifePoint, I served as a Student Pastor at LifePoint and three other ministries. I also spent several years as a manager and administrator for my family’s regional sporting good stores.

My greatest claim to fame is the husband of Kelly Bradley Stewart who is an incredible mother, counselor, social worker and friend. I am the dad to Parker, Emery, and Bradley…and our emotionally challenged yellow lab Knox. We are anxious as we await our referral to adopt our second son from Ethiopia. My best time is spent with my family and the occasional sneaking out to the basketball court or golf course.

I love dreaming, working and living when it comes to the Body of Christ being the Body of Christ, family, leadership, teamwork, communication, teaching, innovation, strategy, networking, athletics and health.

A couple of other places I spend my time is through a family ministry my wife and I created called Family Muscle and through a small-business health and wellness company we share.
